If you fall under the following criteria and lack an owner builder permit, you are not considered engaged in the conduct of a business or undertaking. Consequently, no duties arise for individuals who are:

• A home buyer, owner, or occupier commissioning work on their home.
• An individual carrying out DIY maintenance, refurbishment, or renovations on their own home or assisting a friend.
