Construction Work in Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries: The Work Health and Safety Regulation 2011 (Chapter 6) clearly sets out how certain risks for construction work must be managed.
What is Construction Work?
Construction work includes any activities related to building, altering, converting, fitting-out, commissioning, renovating, repairing, maintaining, refurbishing, demolishing, decommissioning, or dismantling a structure.
General Construction Induction Training
If you are hired to perform construction work, the business must provide you with general construction induction training if you:
- Haven't successfully completed the training before.
- Completed the training over two years ago and haven't done any construction work in the last two years.
Examples of construction work in the agriculture, fisheries and forestry industry that would require induction training and/or work method statement:
